Internship and Volunteer Opportunities

 

The United Nations Association of Minnesota offers several internships and volunteer opportunities.


The UNA-MN Core Values (as the UN itself) are Integrity, Professionalism, and respect for Diversity.

    Professionalism – good academic and analytical skills;

    Planning and Organizing - ability to establish priorities, to coordinate own work plan     and meet deadlines;

    Communications – ability to draft clearly and concisely, good language skills;

    Technological Awareness – good IT skills;

    Teamwork – good interpersonal skills, works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals, ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with different national and cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Interns are given high responsibilities, assisting in various aspects of the organization throughout the year. All interns assist in general office duties and may focus on one area of UNA-MN work.

Guidance is provided for all projects undertaken but interns are expected to have a high level of independence and an ability to function comfortably in a professional setting.
