Grassroots Solutions for Global Problems:
Highlights of Natural Climate Solutions

Tuesday, September 8 — 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Meeting on Zoom.us (see link below)

Join us for a conversation about grassroots solutions to climate change. Our speaker, Jim Nelson, emphasizes that “grassroots” refers not only to horticultural roots but also to engaging citizens in our contemporary climate challenges! Jim is a long-time member of the UN Association of MN and has a passionate interest in UN environmental issues. He is a retired corporate finance professional who has had a second career in the ecological restoration of forests and grasslands. Jim will describe the evolution of the concept “Natural Climate Solutions” with examples from Minnesota and abroad and discuss their potential to provide a third of the solution to global climate change in the coming decade.
