Guest speaker Jane Eisenhardt of the United Nations Environment Programme will lead a presentation on the current state of the nation’s waterways and ways that we can all help protect these precious resources, followed by a Q&A. Jane Eisenhardt is an Ecosystems Management Consultant and serves as the ecosystems focal point for the UNEP’s North America Office. Previously Jane worked with UNEP’s Communication Team and prior to working for UNEP, she was an editorial assistant for London-based Charity Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming. Jane has a background working in the sustainable food space and has worked directly on farms as well as with producers, food access teams, and food and environmental education teams. Jane is experienced in ecosystem conservation and protection and has served as a fellow for the Delaware Nature Society where she engaged local communities in wetland restoration.
